This monograph provides an overview of the intersection of mental health and career development. Career theories and evidence-based practices are highlighted throughout and are grounded in a strengths-based and holistic approach. Each chapter includes an overview of the diagnostic category, common symptom presentations, and prevalence rates, as well as impacts on career development, evidence-based interventions, a case example and discussion questions.
This monograph aims to bridge the gap between mental health and career development and provide practical strategies to assist career practitioners, educators and students in learning and utilizing a holistic and culturally responsive approach to their work.
