The National Career Development Association (NCDA) Board supports the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution introduced by Senator Jeff Merkley and Representative Suzanne Bonamici to overturn the recent federal student loan rule changes. NCDA believes equitable access to education, training, and professional credentials is essential to career development, workforce readiness, and economic mobility. Policies that may limit educational opportunity for nontraditional, low-income, and first-generation learners can create barriers to career entry, upskilling, and long-term workforce participation. Consistent with NCDA’s mission and public policy priorities, the Board supports efforts that help ensure accessible pathways to education and career success for all learners.
